Conference

After the successful symposium on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of BLAM in 2018, a symposium organized by BLAM with lectures, posters, discussions and excursions takes place every four years. Graz was chosen as the venue for the 2nd symposium in 2022, as two potent partners for the organization are available here with the University of Graz and the Department of Natural History of the Universalmuseum Joanneum.

Time
The symposium will be held in early summer from 6/29 to 7/3/2022.

Submission of abstracts for oral presentations and posters
We invite you to present parts of your work on distribution, systematics, morphology, ecology, or endangerment of mosses and lichens in oral presentations or posters at the symposium. You can submit your abstracts (max. 400 words, with submission, whether oral or poster) from now until January 15th, 2022. Conference languages are German and English.

Conference fee
The conference fee will be 60 €, for students 30 €. Please note the funding opportunities for young BLAM members (travel grants up to 200 €). The symposium dinner and the post-excursion will be charged separately.
